Regulatory framework
MAFASA operates within South Africa's private security regulatory framework and is registered with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSiRA), registration number 6621136. Our personnel are expected to hold the registrations and training appropriate to their duties. Mention of any legislation or regulator on this page describes the environment in which we operate; it does not by itself establish compliance, and nothing on this website constitutes legal advice.
Professional boundaries
MAFASA is a private security and investigations company. We do not hold police, prosecutorial, judicial or statutory seizure powers, and our services are not a substitute for law enforcement. Where a matter requires the authority of a public institution, we support our clients in engaging the appropriate bodies through proper channels.
Evidence-aware practice
Our investigations and incident records are documented with care: factual reporting, preserved timestamps, recorded actions and traceable accountability. Where specialist forensic work is required, we engage appropriately qualified partners rather than overstepping our mandate.
Privacy & information handling
We collect only the information needed for a legitimate operational purpose, restrict access to authorised personnel and handle personal information in line with applicable data-protection obligations, including POPIA. Confidential client information is never shared without authorisation.
No implied affiliation
References on this website to regulators, legislation or public institutions are descriptive only. They do not imply endorsement by, or formal affiliation with, any public institution unless separately and explicitly authorised in writing.
